"Phenomenal" kitchen is "pure luxury".

Tom and Sarah-Jane went into Kitchen Week on a high after two Room Reveal wins in a row.

Like all teams, Sarah-Jane designed the kitchen layout and selected her state-of-the-art appliances in week two.

So the only big decisions this week were how they wanted to lay their floorboards and whether they could convince Foreman Keith to allow them to put in a pot filler tap.

Sarah-Jane was so happy with how their kitchen turned out she said she wouldn't be fussed if the judges didn't like it.

Scroll through to see what judges Shaynna Blaze, Neale Whitaker and Darren Palmer thought of their kitchen.

Shaynna made an audible gasp as she walked into Tom and Sarah-Jane's kitchen.

"Whoa... oh my..." she said.

Neale laughed in pure delight at the stunning space, before trying to think of the best way to describe how good it is.

"There are times when I wish there was a word that kind of meant 'wow times a hundred', because 'wow' just doesn't cut it," he said.

The words "phenomenal" and "breathtaking" were suggested as suitable alternatives to wow.

Darren was just as impressed as his fellow judges.

"I'm awe-struck," he said.

The first thing that caught the judges' attention was the ILVE oven.

Shaynna thought the size of the oven, which she discovered had the same width as her arm span, was pure luxury.

"I can only just reach the ends of it," she said.

The oven definitely lived up to its name, which is Majestic.

Tom and Sarah-Jane didn't just choose an oven with all the bells and whistles, they picked an appliance in colours that worked beautifully with the palette of the room, and their contemporary country style.

Next to the oven was a very handy feature where you can hang tea towels, perfect for quickly grabbing one to pick up something hot or deal with small spills while cooking on the stove.

Then the judges noticed the fridge, which was a beautiful brushed rose gold colour.

Shaynna, Darren and Neale all thought the colour choice was perfect, and loved how well it tied in with the copper pots hanging on the wall.

What was interesting for the three design experts was how well the rose gold fridge, copper pots, brass tapware and steel rangehood all worked together in this room. Usually mixing metal finishes doesn't work, and the fact it looks so good shows just how talented Tom and Sarah-Jane are.

"The metal is a colour that ties in with another colour in the space, which is how you can blend these things, that complexity together – that is mastery," Darren said.

The fridge not only looked good on the outside, but was incredibly functional on the inside too.

Neale thought the kitchen, which had a white base with teal and metallic accents, was just right for a tree changer.

"If somebody said design the ultimate contemporary country kitchen, wouldn't it be like this?" Neale wondered.

After marvelling at the brushed rose gold fridge, Shaynna then went to check out what she thought was a wine fridge.

"No it's not a wine fridge! What is this?! Oh... oh," she said.

The charcuterie, cheese and wine fridge looked so good Shaynna wanted one for herself even though she doesn't actually eat meat.

"Wow, wow," she added.

Darren thought the styling of this feature helps position this house as a luxury home.

"Apart from the wow factor of the appliance, the messaging to the market in the way that has been presented is pure luxury," he said.

But it's not just about style, a kitchen needs to be functional too.

So the judges, as always, checked the cleaning zone had everything it needs.

There was a bin in the cupboard on one side of the sink and a dishwasher on the other side of the sink, so the cleaning zone ticked all the boxes.

The cleaning zone also showed Tom and Sarah-Jane considered how much space the resident will need for washing up.

"One of my biggest bugbears is having a sink that you can't put a tray in, especially a tray from a big oven," Darren said.

"So they've actually thought of the functionality of this kitchen in terms of the five zones

There was also functionality in the choice of cabinetry in the kitchen, with drawers deep and wide enough to stack plates and bowls neatly.

And the cutlery drawer already had a divider in it with ample sections for all the knives, forks and spoons you'd need for a large entertainer's kitchen like this.

If Tom and Sarah-Jane hadn't got an A+ for functionality by now, they would've scored one after the judges saw the pot filler tap.

It's a truly handy feature for anyone who cooks for large groups and needs to fill up a large pot with water.

"It's really well designed," Darren said.

"It's the ultimate entertainer's kitchen because you've got this incredible space," Neale said looking out from the kitchen towards what will be the living and dining area.

As if the wine, charcuterie and cheese fridge wasn't luxe enough, Tom and Sarah-Jane also have this exquisite coffee machine. They won this beauty in one of host Scott Cam's Friday night drinks challenges.

Sarah-Jane selected this model from a huge range because its wood accents tied in perfectly with her kitchen design.
