Editor-approved seeds, bulbs, gardening tools, pots, and planters for the dream country garden

To say that we at Country Living are sold on the benefits of gardening would be something of an understatement. We are a collective of keen gardeners with gardens of all shapes and sizes – from city dwellers experimenting with container plants, to the green-fingered with sprawling vegetable patches.

To create a Country Living garden collection was a task well and truly within our wheelhouse. Available exclusively at Homebase, the range spans our favourite seeds and bulbs (102 to be exact, we had a hard time whittling it down,) ceramic glazed pots and planters, and essential gardening tools – this is the ultimate garden shopping list created by the experts.

The collection is available online and in selected Homebase stores.

Our collection of seeds and bulbs were chosen to suit and enhance every type of garden.

Including firm country garden favourites, from a rainbow of colourful tulips to fragrant narcissi, crocuses, and pretty muscari, these mixes have been designed to introduce colour, scent, and even encourage pollinators into your garden. Several of our bulb collections hold the RHS Award of Garden Merit, the seal of approval from the RHS experts.

We've also covered those with – or just starting – a vegetable patch, including leeks, onions, strawberries, sweetcorn, melons, French beans, spinach, and much more.

Our ceramic pots and planters collection features 28 versatile sizes and shapes, each embossed with a cowslip or diamond motif, and finished in Country Living colours (a classic grey-blue, and a pale sage green.) Select from a traditional trough planter (we love them filled with lavender,) and cylinder or cone pots. All of our pots and planters are frost resistant and made with drainage holes, and each is finished in a high-quality glossy glaze.

And of course, no garden collection would be complete without some handy tools. Our editors have selected the essential tools every gardener should have in their sheds, including rakes, hand trowels, forks, spades, and a bulb planter. The collection forgoes any plastic components, and instead is made from durable ash wood and stainless steel. Our small hand trowels and hand forks can be hung up on hooks, to keep your shed tidy.
